Charity

The Honorary Consulate supports on an ongoing basis the charity project SOS-Kinderdorf in Kingston, Jamaica. Since 1984 this children-home in 14 family-house hosts 130 children. In addition there is a Kindergarden for 90 toddlers. In 2001 a Herrmann-Gmeiner Elementary School startet to cater to 100 pupils from the surroundings of the children-home.

On a private basis and together with his Lions Club Honorary Consul Follmer supports Child-aid projekts in Germany like Lichtblick Hasenbergl.
